The VETi 3 AURA Single Power Point Outlet with TV Antenna and HDMI Combination has been tested and approved to the required standard of IEC / SANS3132 and AS/NZS 3133, and is SAA approved, allowing for the sale of the product in Australia. The socket module is rated at 10A, and is thus able to handle any load drawing a maximum of 10A.

The contacts are made from high quality copper to ensure the safest connection by improving conductivity and therefore reducing heat which is caused due to a higher resistance from other accepted materials such as brass.

The internal switch module used in the combination has been tested and approved to the required standard of IEC60669-1 and AS/NZS 60669.1, allowing for switching of lighting loads up to 16A, including fluorescents and LEDs. The internal switch rocker is made from copper with silver tip contacts to ensure the best possible conductance.

The unit also incorporates a satellite socket outlet with an F-type connection, intended for a standard satellite dish connection to a television. The housing is manufactured from high quality polycarbonate plastic and includes a pictogram on the front face to clearly identify the application.

Additionally, the unit includes two HDMI socket outlets with female to female connections, allowing for seamless audio and video signal transfer. Each HDMI module features a flexible cable behind the module to facilitate easier installation and reduce strain within the wall box, while the single module design helps minimise space usage.

The plastic casing is made from a mix of high quality plastics including flame retardant polycarbonate to ensure strength, durability and prevention against fires and nylon to allow for flexibility, which ensures the modules can easily be inserted or removed from the fixing frames.

Once the modules are inserted in the fixing frame they can only be removed with a small flat screw driver, but due to the flexible properties of the plastic composite the clipping mechanism can easily be pushed in to allow for removal of the modules.
