The VETi 3 AURA Omni-Cluster with 2x Power Point and 3x USB A+C Combination has been tested and approved to the required standard of IEC / SANS3132 and AS/NZS 3133, and is SAA approved, allowing for the sale of the product in Australia. Each power point module is rated at 10A, and is thus able to handle any load drawing a maximum of 10A.
The contacts are made from high quality copper to ensure the safest connection by improving conductivity and therefore reducing heat which is caused due to a higher resistance from other accepted materials such as brass. The internal switch modules used in the combination have been tested and approved to the required standard of IEC60669-1 and AS/NZS 60669.1, allowing for switching of lighting loads up to 16A, including fluorescents and LEDs. The internal switch rockers are made from copper with silver tip contacts to ensure the best possible conductance.
The unit also incorporates three USB A+C charging modules, each delivering up to 20W fast charging output. Each module features both Type-A and Type-C ports, allowing for versatile and efficient charging of smartphones, tablets and other USB-powered devices. The USB modules conform to all required standards and have been tested and approved to IEC 61588-2-16, IEC 62368-1, LOA, AS/NZS 61558.2.16 and AS/NZS 62368.1. The modules incorporate technology that prevents devices from overcharging and damaging the battery, ensuring safe and reliable operation. The input voltage range is 100 - 240V AC, with USB port output of 5V, 3A max across Type A and Type C ports. The plastic casing is made from a mix of high quality plastics including flame retardant polycarbonate to ensure strength, durability and prevention against fires and nylon to allow for flexibility, which ensures the modules can easily be inserted or removed from the fixing frames.
Once the modules are inserted in the fixing frame they can only be removed with a small flat screw driver, but due to the flexible properties of the plastic composite the clipping mechanism can easily be pushed in to allow for removal of the modules.
