3. Pricing
All prices on the Major Tech website are inclusive of GST. Major Tech prices are “List Price” and represent the suggested retail price of the products from Major Tech. All prices, discounts, and promotions posted on the Major Tech website are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a product will be the price set on the website at the time the order is placed, subject to the terms of any promotions or discounts that may be applicable. Price increases will only apply to orders placed after the time of the increase.
4. Returns Policy
Returned Product Conditions:
Products will only be accepted for a return within the first month of purchase subject to Major Tech’s approval and as per the requirements listed below:
- Products are unopened and in the original packaging for resale purposes.
- Proof of purchase needs to be presented on request
- Once returned to Major Tech, products will be thoroughly inspected to ensure no damage has been done to either the product or packaging and it is still in a resalable condition. If the product is unopened or has a manufacturing fault, you will be refunded, or the product will be replaced as per your preference.
5. Product Warranties
Major Tech offers a limited two (2) year product warranty.
The warranty granted by Major Tech is in respect of product faults that are as a result of a manufacturing defect. Customers cannot claim under the warranty for products that have been damaged due to negligence and/or incorrectly installed, connected, or used. All products under question will be examined by our repairs department to determine if the product is in fact defected or if it has been misused.
The warranty applies from the date of delivery or collection. The following steps need to be followed when submitting a warranty claim:
- The claim must be submitted in writing with images and must document the defect relating to the product. The claim needs to be given to Major Tech by the Customer within 30 (thirty) days of the defect first becoming apparent to the Customer
- The relevant product must be made available to Major Tech for inspection in order to determine the validity of the claim
- The defect must have arisen as a direct result of the manufacturing process and not due to negligence or misuse on behalf of the customer
- Major Tech shall be entitled to either repair or replace the defective product
- Should Major Tech elect to replace the defective product, the defective product will become the property of Major Tech
- The product must not have been dismantled, altered, or tampered with.
- Products need to be kept in keep the original packaging if the warranty is being claimed within the first three months of the purchase
- Major Tech will not accept any claims for product defects outside of the warranty period.
6. Liabilities Disclaimer
Major Tech products comply to specific safety standards. These ratings can be found directly on the products, on the packaging, on our website and in the corresponding catalogue. We expect customers to buy the correct meters and tools that comply with the recommended safety standards needed for the customers application. Major Tech recommends that all products requiring electrical installation are carried out by a qualified electrician.
Major Tech shall not be held liable for any losses, liabilities and damages, costs and expenses (including legal fees, disbursements and costs of investigation, litigation, settlement, judgement), fines, interest and penalties in respect of any claims arising out of the incorrect, poor and/or negligent installation, connection and/or use of the products by the Customer or any third party (“Losses”) and the Customer hereby indemnifies, holds harmless and agrees to defend Major Tech from any and all such Losses.
